"Music Hath Charms! Charm City Chamber Players in Concert"
Sunday, September 20, 3PM

McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster MD 21157

Chamber Music on the Hill presents a beautiful concert of sextets, featuring Tchaikovsky's Souvenir de Florence. The perfect acoustics of the Forum (which is on the first floor of the Decker College Center, McDaniel College) make it a favorite setting to not only listen to great music but also to interact with the musicians.

Dr. Renate Falkner teaches viola at the University of North Florida. She performs nationally and abroad as a Baroque, orchestral, and chamber musician. Karin Brown made her solo recital debut at Carnegie Weill Hall. She is Assistant Principal Viola in the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and is on faculty at Catholic University of America.

Cellist Stephen Thomas has performed on five continents as a soloist, recitalist, conductor, and chamber musician. Dr. Thomas is Associate Professor of Cello at University of Florida. Dr. Daniel Levitov performs locally and nationally as a solo, chamber, and orchestral cellist. He serves on the faculty of Gettysburg College and the Peabody Institute.

Two special guest violinists are Brent Price, the Concertmaster of the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, and Christian Simmelink, who performs with the Savannah Philharmonic and the Washington Performing Arts Society.

Tickets: $15 general admission, $10 for seniors (60+) and military. FREE to children and all students. Adult students show ID. Cash/check only.

Available at the Carroll Arts Center, 91 W. Main St., Westminster, at the concert, or reserve:  410-596-1022.

Chamber Music on the Hill, in residence at McDaniel College, is a nonprofit organization funded in part by grants from Carroll County Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council.
